Shona Stephenson is a busy mum of two who lost 18 kilograms in a year after having her first child. After having two children Shona, like most people hitting their late twenties decided to take running to keep fit and lose weight. Like most people approaching their thirties she decided to enter a few fun runs.
August 2007 Shona’s 1st Race Sydney City2Surf and pushing her 7 month old baby in the stroller for 14kms. 85 minutes for the 14km. (PB for the City2Surf is now 57:10)
May 2008 Shona’s 1st 1/2 Marathon Sydney 1/2 Marathon 1 hour 46 minutes. (She entered this event because she shaved her hair off to a No1 to raise money for “The Worlds Greatest Shave”, then decided that a 1/2 marathon was the best way to get the rest of the baby weight off after her 2nd pregnancy. PB for a 1/2 Marathon 91:10 2010)
June 2008 Shona’s 1st Trail Race and Run! The Great Nosh 87 min. (Her winning Time in 2011 78min).
After racing these three events Shona was hooked. She loved racing and wanted to see how far she could go if she had the right training program. After being asked constantly by her friends to train them. In 2009 Shona became a fully qualified Personal Trainer. She gave up her career as a pattern maker and fashion designer to follow her real passion that was now health and fitness.
November 2009 Shona enters and wins her first Marathon. Deep Space Mountain Marathon.
2010 Shona races the 6 Foot Track in the Blue Mountains 4 hours 39 minutes. After racing her first 100km event, Oxfam TW Sydney Shona broke both of her feet and was not able to run for 12 weeks.
Fast forward to 2011. Shona wins her first 100km event. GNW100 12 hours 50 minutes and picks up sponsorship from Barefoot Inc.

2012 she then places 3rd in TNF100 12 Hours 31 sec Blue Mountains
1st Oxfam 100km Sydney Mixed Record Holding Team
1st Surf Coast Century 100 VIC
1st GOW 100km VIC
Shona is chosen Inov8 International Trail Running Team and Hammer Sports Nutrition Australian Team.
2013 was a year of international adventures.
Shona entered and won her first 100 Mile event Northburn 100 New Zealand.
Placed 2nd in Japan at Mt Fuji 100 Mile UTMF
3rd at TNF100 11 Hours 45 minutes Australia Blue Mountains
9th at the Mont Blanc Marathon France Chamonix
1st at Hakuba International Trails 50km Japan
Shona also became the Aura Ultra Trail Runner National Champion with a 50km win in Victoria.
Shona believes that anything is possible with the right training program, knowledge, skills and advise. Shona’s loves guiding her clients through their own health and fitness journey.
